Logline: The essential question Ludwig Wittgenstein was struggling with, was: 'How can one lead a sincere and honest life, in an insecure and hostile world?' The answer can be found in his philosophical work, but also in his fascinating life, which this film is all about.

Synopsis: When WITTGENSTEIN is told by Dr.Bevan that he suffers from terminal cancer, his only fear is that he will have to spend his last days in loneliness in an English hospital.
Dr.Bevan invites him to stay at his place, where his wife, Joan, can take care of him.

family, his youth in Vienna, his work, his homosexual friendships and the kind of life he tried to lead. His story becomes a kind of confession, made by a man of genius to a simple housewife.
